Vespasian, 69-79. Denarius (Silver, 17 mm, 3.42 g, 7 h), Ephesus, 71. IMP CAESAR VESPAS AVG COS III TR P P P Laureate head of Vespasian to right. Rev. AVG above monogram of EPHE within wreath. BMC 451. Cohen 37. RIC 1427. RPC II 829. A very well struck and nicely toned example with a fine portrait and a splendid reverse. The obverse a bit weak, otherwise, extremely fine.
